Mindy published her first book with Harlequin American Romance in 1995. Since then, she has appeared regularly on the Walden's bestseller list and won numerous awards, including the National Readers' Choice award; the Romantic Times Career Achievement Award; three W.I.S.H. awards for outstanding heroes; and two Gold Medal reviews from Romantic Times Magazine, as well as nominations for the HOLT Medallion, Golden Quill, Orange Rose, and two nominations for the prestigious RITA Award.
Originally from Louisiana, Mindy Neff now lives in Southern California, where she met and married a "really romantic guy, and raised five great kids."
Family, friends, writing, and reading are her passions. When not writing or doing the bookkeeping for her husband’s construction firm, Mindy’s ideal getaway is a good book, hot sunshine, and a chair at the river’s edge at their second home along the Parker Strip in Arizona.
Says Mindy: "Some people have always known they were destined to be a writer. Not so with me. I was in my 30s when somebody put a romance novel in my hand. I was hooked! I burned dinners (or forgot to start them!) and snarled at anyone who dared interrupt while I was reading one of these gripping stories!
"That’s when I realized I wanted to be a writer. A romance writer. I love the power and the emotions and the positive statements that romance novels make. So I set about writing the stories I loved to read, stories that touch the heart, tug at the reader’s emotions, and always, without fail, have a happy ending.
"It is my fondest hope that the books I write will indeed touch your heart and bring you the kind of joy other authors have brought to me over the years."
